Can't say enough about Gateway Lodge. I threw a fairly complicated arrangement at them for housing family and close friends attending my daughter's Cook Forest wedding, along with a Welcome Event, rehearsal dinner, and overall assisting over 75 of our guests both in the Lodge and in their cabins. All went beautifully, with the Welcome Event setting the tone for a quality weekend with excellent service, smiles, and deliciousness. Thanks to Jody and her team with all my heart! We couldn't have done this without you!
This place is amazing. I would recommend it to anyone to try for a wk end. Beautiful snow just to make it that much better.
We stayed at the gateway in the spring and had a wonderful time . Love the atmosphere. Food is very good a little on pricey side. Will be returning in December for a weekend . We love the main house . We are staying in a cabin this time and can not wait.
The Gateway Lodge Weekend wine and food paring is amazing. The lodge and rooms (epically the new cabins) are first class. The food is always amazing and they have won awards for their wine selections!
This place has lots of character and hits the mark for being a "woodsy lodge". However, the restaurant's inventive comfort food menu was mediocre in execution. Serving a medium rare venison well done is unacceptable for the price and tells me they need better quality control from the kitchen. Lots of unfulfilled potential here.
